Who this notice is for
This notice covers personal information provided through the DWE Landscapes & Design website. You can contact DWE about an enquiry or a privacy request on 07944 847621 or by emailing Dwelandscapes@yahoo.com, or by writing to DWE Landscapes & Design, King Street, Whalley, BB7 9SW. It applies to this website and does not replace information provided in connection with an agreed project.
Information collected when you enquire
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, project postcode, service of interest and a description of the work. A telephone number and coverage area can also be provided. Only include information needed to discuss the project; please do not submit payment details or sensitive personal information.
The website host may process technical information such as IP addresses, request logs and browser information to deliver the website, prevent abuse and investigate technical problems.
Why the information is used
Enquiry information is used to respond to you, discuss the requested work, arrange a visit where appropriate and prepare a quote. When you ask us to take steps towards a project, the relevant basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Information needed to fulfil an agreed project is handled in connection with that contract.
Keeping the website secure, identifying spam and maintaining a record of enquiry correspondence support the legitimate interests of operating the business and protecting the service. Information may also need to be retained to meet a legal obligation. The enquiry form does not subscribe you to marketing.
Who handles website enquiries
Netlify provides the website hosting and form-processing service. Website enquiries are stored in the project’s Netlify Forms inbox and can be accessed by DWE and authorised website administrators who help operate the website. They are used for handling the enquiry and supporting the service.
Hosting providers may process information in countries outside the UK. Netlify describes its data handling and transfer arrangements in its privacy and data-processing information. Follow the provider links below for details. Your information is not published as part of the website.

How long information is kept
Information is kept for as long as it is needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting work. The relevant period depends on whether the enquiry becomes a project, any ongoing correspondence and records needed for legal or accounting purposes. Unnecessary information should not be retained simply because it was collected. Contact DWE to ask about the records relating to your enquiry or to request deletion where applicable.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict processing, object to processing or receive a portable copy. Some rights depend on the purpose and lawful basis for processing. Contact DWE using the details above to make a request.
You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator. This website does not use automated decision-making to assess enquiries.
External links and changes
Facebook and other external websites apply their own privacy policies when you follow a link. See our cookie notice for the technology used on this website. This notice will be updated if the website’s data handling changes.
