Patios & garden design

Clean lines. A softer side.

Pale paving gives this garden a generous, open feel. Dark borders and fencing bring definition, while large planters and sculptural greenery keep the space full of life.

A calm canvas for the garden

The paving forms a broad, uncluttered surface outside the house. Its light colour works alongside the warm stone of the building, while the dark edging picks out the change between the main terrace and the doorway.

Rather than relying on lots of different surface finishes, the garden uses a clear contrast: a pale floor, a dark boundary and green planting. That simple palette leaves room for the texture of the pots and plants to stand out.

Planting that shapes the space

The large planters are part of the layout, not just finishing accessories. They create focal points at different heights, soften the edges of the paving and draw the eye towards the green space beyond.

For a similar project, we would start with how you move through the garden, where you want to sit and how much space your furniture and planting need. Paving, borders and planting can then be considered together.
